SQL Server 2016 RTM – Coming soon!

The first RTM release of SQL Server 2016 will be released soon. It’s official now! Indeed, Microsoft announced here the SQL Server 2016 RTM release being generally available for use the 1st June 2016.

What does this mean? Well, customers who have been thinking either to upgrade their SQL Server environments or to install a new architecture can now include SQL Server 2016 in their plan.

As you already know, SQL Server 2016 will provide a lot of interesting new features or enhancements in different areas.

As you may notice, the Enterprise edition is designed to meet the highest critical workloads requirements with a plenty of new features as advanced OTLP and HA features. The same is required if you want to benefit from advanced security features as TDE as well as AlwaysEncrypted (as a reminder no application changes are required in this case).

Are you wondering if SQL Server 2016 may cover your needs or asking for more information about new features and enhancements shipped with this new version ? Don’t hesitate to contact us and we will help you do so.
