Configuring Fusion Middleware 12C Reports Server with Single Sign On and External LDAP server

By | Application integration & Middleware | No Comments

Most of the time when the Reports Server is configured with an Single Sign On Server, it uses the same external LDAP server as the Single Sign On Server. In our case, we used an Oracle Access Manager as Single Sign On and an Oracle Internet Directory as LDAP server. Of course the Fusion Middleware needs to be configured with the external LDAP server. This means an Oracle Internet Directory authenticator provider declared in the…

By | Entreprise content management | No Comments

On a customer site, one of the users complained about being kicked out each time he wanted to create new documents in D2. This issue is happening in a default deployment of D2 and D2Config in a WebLogic Domain. We found out that the user sessions for D2Config and D2 are conflicting together. This issue occurs if D2Config and D2 applications are opened in the same browser using different TABs and if the user is navigating…

Documentum story – How to display correct client IP address in the log file when a WebLogic Domain is fronted by a load Balancer

By | Application integration & Middleware, Entreprise content management | No Comments

The Load Balancers do not provide the client IP address by default. The WebLogic HTTP log file (access_log) does not provide the client IP address but the Load Balancer one. This is sometimes a problem when diagnosing issues and the Single Sign On configuration does not provide the user name in the HTTP log either. In most of  the cases, the Load Balancer can provides an additional header named “X-Forwarded-For” but it needs to be…
